1. Overview
China Life OS ("the App") is designed to help you build small, repeatable Chinese-inspired daily rituals. We believe your personal data should stay personal. This policy explains what the App collects, how it is stored, and your rights.
2. Data We Collect
The App collects and processes the following information to provide its core features:
- Saved rituals — the rituals you create or customize within the App.
- Today Plan — your daily plan selections and scheduling preferences.
- Completion progress — streak counts, completion history, and habit tracking data.
- Reminder preferences — the notification times and rituals you choose to be reminded about.
- Language choice — your preferred display language within the App.
All of this data is stored locally on your device. The App does not collect your name, email address, location, photos, contacts, or any other personally identifiable information.
3. iCloud Sync
If you choose to enable iCloud Sync, the App uses Apple's CloudKit key-value store to sync your ritual data across your Apple devices. This feature is entirely optional.
- Sync is handled entirely by Apple's infrastructure. The App developer does not have access to your iCloud data.
- Data synced includes your saved rituals, Today Plan, completion progress, and preferences.
- You can disable iCloud Sync at any time in the App's Settings. Disabling it does not delete data already on your device.
4. Notifications
The App uses local notifications solely for ritual reminders that you explicitly schedule. We do not send promotional notifications, marketing messages, or any unsolicited alerts.
- You control which rituals have reminders and at what time.
- You can revoke notification permission at any time through the App or iOS Settings.
- Notification data does not leave your device.
5. No Account Required
China Life OS does not require account creation, registration, or login. You can use all core features without providing any personal identity information.
6. No Third-Party Analytics or Tracking
The App does not integrate any third-party analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or tracking frameworks. We do not use services such as Google Analytics, Facebook SDK, or any similar tracking tools.
No browsing behavior, usage patterns, or device identifiers are transmitted to any third party.
7. No Data Sale
We do not sell, rent, license, or trade your personal data to any third party. Your ritual data and usage information remain yours.
8. Data Retention
Your data remains on your device for as long as you keep the App installed. If you delete the App, all local data is removed with it. If iCloud Sync is enabled, Apple may retain synced data according to your iCloud account settings.
9. Children's Privacy
China Life OS is not directed at children under 13. The App does not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, notify you through the App. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
